Accelerating into 2020 on the Heels of a Successful 2019

What a year we had! I want to thank all of Selligent’s clients, partners and employees for an amazing 2019. We just shared our company’s continued growth in markets around the world last week: New SaaS business in North America grew 55 percent year-over-year (YoY), and we had a 3x jump YoY in the Nordics, part of our Northern European go-to-market to expand into this region. Not to mention the amazing growth in DACH and in our Southern Europe business.

That’s fantastic news – but it’s only the beginning. 2019 was a landmark year for Selligent’s recognition in the market. From being named a Leader by Forrester Research in “The Forrester Wave™: Cross-Channel Campaign Management (Independent Platforms), Q4 2019” and the G2 Mid-Market Grid Report for Marketing Automation, to being recognized as a “Hot Vendor in Customer Experience” by Aragon Research and winning the 2019 Martech Breakthrough Award, we are grateful for such distinguished industry recognition.

On the client front, 2019 saw strong performance as we added leading global brands like TI Media (formerly Time, Inc. UK), Holland Casino and GoNoodle (more on this soon!) to our client roster. Our technology powered so many impressive campaigns in 2019, with clients delivering some of the most innovative approaches to digital marketing I’ve seen.

It was an honor to recognize all of our Selligent Award winners – clients like Kimpton Hotels, who drove bookings by 19X and reactivated more than a third of their inactive members segment, through a data-driven, targeted segmentation approach; and KPN, who minimized customer churn by half and increased customer satisfaction score by 33 percent using a data-based prediction model – winning them our EU Omnichannel Experience Award for two years running!

We also continued to develop an ever-growing and influential partner ecosystem that includes industry innovators like Cisco, Genesys, TTEC, Servion, Acxiom UK, Merkle, Acceleration, Trendline Interactive, ICF Next, and Shaw Scott, among others. ONE Marketing is a great, highly committed partner in Denmark who brought us one opportunity after another, and helped us sign our first two Danish brands in 2019. In France, we signed our first deal with Proximity to offer major European retail property company Klépierre best-in-class marketing automation and CRM strategy. And in Spain, we saw deeper engagement in our partnership with Vector ITC Group and are combining our marketing automation expertise with their outstanding call center capabilities for a unique market solution that’s already benefiting clients.

On the product side, 2019 brought ongoing enhancements to our platform across areas such as intelligent audience creation, journey optimization, and deeper integrations with our technology partners and third-party software platforms. We also focused on bringing more innovation and extending the power of Marigold Recommendations, our AI-Powered engine. We built out our Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities and will announce some unique features in the coming weeks, which I am really excited about.

There are many other innovations our product and engineering teams are working on, all designed to seamlessly empower businesses and brands to deliver great customer experiences to customers around the world.

I couldn’t be more proud of, and humbled to work alongside, such an incredible global team, including our partners and clients, who inspire us every day with their innovations and a quest to deliver ongoing customer value. I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store! We look forward to more joint successes with clients and partners in the new year.
