ClimaClic Builds Consumer Loyalty While Protecting the Environment

ClimaClic GmbH, winner of the loyalty award at Selligent’s 2022 Martech Awards, is Germany’s first climate-related lottery that combines the thrill of winning that helps protect the environment. Customers can support their dream climate project with a click and win up to €2 million at the same time.

ClimaClic asked their marketing agency, BurdaDirect, to build an easy-to-manage system of transactional and personalized emails for ClimaClic Gmbh. The emails needed to comply with German business rules for lotteries and create excitement and loyalty among its customers.

ClimaClic and BurdaDirect turned to Selligent to reimagine what their email marketing campaigns could do. With the help of Selligent’s technology and experienced engineers, ClimaClic and BurdaDirect built more than 50 unique customer journeys. Now new climate projects are promoted to customers who have expressed interest in supporting certain kinds of climate initiatives. Now customer journeys are automated, and the data flows instantly into the Marigold Engage. In less than eight weeks the new system was set up and has significantly reduced the amount of work done by the small team at ClimaClic.
