Bookit.nl is the leading Dutch provider of short vacations and weekend getaways. The company specializes in short vacations and weekend trips, and they run nearly a dozen sites each with a specific niche travel focus. From these sites, customers can book a stay in a hotel, holiday farm, bungalow park or campsite, and even reserve a mini-cruise, using various criteria such as location and desired facilities.

The path to success

  • Welcome Stream: When a customer books a trip all captured data is sent to Selligent and a real-time message is triggered to wish them a nice stay and offer travel tips for their destination.
  • User Generated Content: Selligent’s survey system automatically triggers follow-up survey invitations to ask travelers to share their experiences and score all places they spent time.
  • Awards Points: Customers receive points with every booking or survey submission. Points are redeemed on future trips.
  • Custom Reporting Dashboards: Bookit is able to see a geographical breakdown of all customers by loyalty value, travel history, comments and scores.

With an ongoing focus of serving the traveler, Bookit continues to look for ways to improve both customer experience and loyalty. With access to even more historical data than ever before, Bookit plans to incorporate user behavior into their program to profile, predict and provide suggestions and recommendations for future trips that will be compelling for the customer.
