SFD, the leading distributor of SFR mobile solutions, is using the Selligent CRM solution to manage its customer relationships


Thanks to Selligent Xi for Web, SFD's sales force can access information about customers and prospects from any location.

Paris, January 14, 2005 - SFD Entreprises, the leading distributor of SFR mobile solutions, has chosen the European CRM publisher Selligent to manage its sales force and customer relationships.

With 250 "Espace SFR" retail outlets located mainly in shopping centres, SFD recorded a turnover of 220 million euros in 2003. In 2004 SFD opened 1.3 million SFR lines (prepaid offers, personal and business subscription contracts, replacement handsets). Up until 2003 SFD's turnover was almost entirely accounted for by the general public.

Further to a reorganisation of the SFR group, SFD Entreprises was then entrusted with the task of managing and developing corporate business. New sales people had to be recruited and a customer relationship management tool put in place to handle this new activity.

To respond effectively to the requirements of these new customers in terms of professional mobile voice and data communication solutions (UMTS, GPRS, Wi-Fi, Blackberry, PDA, etc.), SFD Entreprises acquired the Selligent CRM tool.

The European software publisher was able to resolve the business issues faced by SFD Entreprises, such as improving customer service, setting up a sophisticated reporting system and a powerful prospecting tool for its sales people. Selligent also provided solutions to the technical constraints of the project:

- access to information in online or offline mode
- an interface with the back office (SAP R3)
- synchronisation of the Oracle database with the databases on the sales force's portable computers
- suitable ergonomics

"We particularly appreciated Selligent's business approach which helped us in structuring our new activity. The entire Selligent team made a great effort to deploy the solution in record time. All Selligent Xi for Web licences were deployed in less than three months," explains Sylvain Coquio, IT Manager of SFD, going on to add, "We are very pleased at the rapid completion of this project as this was a strategic area for us. We have also recruited a person dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of our new CRM tool".

IT management plans to expand the functions of the tool in 2005, by adding contract templates, the number of orders sent to customers and by interfacing invoicing and the Intranet. SFD also plans to implement marketing functions.
