Selligent, the Belgian company that has become one of Europe's leading CRM developers, is launching the latest version of its CRM suite, Selligent X@. It represents a major functional advance in customer relationship management. In fact, Selligent X@ is the first fully Web-based CRM suite on the market and includes over 300 enhancements submitted by Selligent customers. The Marketing module, document management and analytical CRM were the key focus items of its development.
The market signals indicate that 2005 will be a watershed year for CRM. As CRM is currently enjoying growing favour in the business world, Selligent X@ comes just at the right time to set the stage for the future. "In 1991 when we launched our first CRM solution under Windows, we were pioneers; we had to educate our market. Today, with Selligent X@, we have the same sense of blazing the trail," states Thierry Téchy, Selligent CTO and President. "Above and beyond its numerous innovative functions, Selligent X@ includes a wealth of customisation mechanisms, which further reduce the time needed to implement our solutions. By adopting Selligent X@, our customers are opting for a CRM solution that is perfectly adaptable to their needs - at least cost - and that reduces our competitors' vertical solutions to anachronisms," Téchy adds.
Flexibility and speed of implementation are the two attributes that continue to characterise Selligent solutions. Today, Selligent X@ takes another step in pushing back the limits.
Among the classic CRM areas, marketing has been the focus of special attention in the development of Selligent X@:
- Selligent X@ facilitates leads management thanks to a new functionality that has been totally integrated between Marketing and Sales. Selligent X@ users can now benefit from best practices in this area. They can import or create non-qualified leads and then go through their qualification process before passing them onto the Sales department or "de-activating" them.
- In parallel, Selligent X@ campaign management has become one of the most powerful such modules on the market, able to respond to the needs and wants of the most demanding marketeers. It uses a wizard to provide an overview of the targets and the campaign stages and guide the user in executing or re-assigning campaigns. Combined with the new rules server, it can automate or re-schedule campaign steps.
- e-Questionnaire - This new module enables prospects or customers to fill in a questionnaire on the Web without having to log into a Selligent system. The input collected is automatically stored in the Selligent X@ database of the company. This module automatically creates an invitation e-mail that includes a link to the questionnaire - which is customised by merging the fields with the data on the invitee.
Furthermore, all CRM areas - Sales, Marketing and Customer Service - now have the benefit of new, powerful, generic applications.
- Selligent Document Management - This function is seamlessly integrated in Selligent X@ and is shared by Selligent's content management module, Selligent Web Content. It manages documents centrally and harmonises their use throughout the application. At the same time it organises all electronic documents and handles file management, complete with the different document versions and their expiry dates.
- Selligent AnalytiX - This is an analytical module that is totally integrated in the Selligent operational tools. It is a tangible application of the latest "Business Intelligence" techniques in customer relationship management. It is powerful yet easy to use and provides a company with continuously updated "intelligent dashboards" on its performance, enabling operational processes defined in the CRM solution to be fine-tuned.
- Selligent Rules Server - One of the key uses of the Selligent Rules Server is to schedule tasks with different timelines. The possible applications are many and varied - duplication, synchronising MS Outlook or Lotus Notes, campaign management or any other process subject to business rules.
Selligent X@ comes complete with very simple, totally customisable configuration of start-up pages, which can include any query results or graphics, as well as analytical results from Selligent AnalytiX.
Selligent X@ also includes the revolutionary concept of "screenlets". Screenlets are like functional bricks. They can be used to display all types of information from the CRM system in the shape of lists or Selligent screens on any Web page, for example, in a portal.
Of the many other enhancements, some of the highlights are:
- Improved ease of use;
- Ease of customisation of user interfaces through "skins;"
- A global research tool enabling the user to find information wherever it is stored, including in documents and notes;
- Compatibility with IBM DB2 (UDB).
New architecture
Selligent X@ is the first version exclusively available on the Web. It is based on the .NET service layer (C#.Net), which is the best guarantee for a future-proof solution.
"As always, we take care to protect the investments made by our customers. All the configuration work done on the previous version (Selligent Xi) is migrated very easily," Téchy concludes.
Prices and availability
In view of the functional wealth of Selligent X@ and bearing in mind Selligent's desire to enable new customers to adopt CRM at their own rhythm, a new pricing scheme has been introduced. The concept is based on the possibility for the customer him/herself to define the functional modules and the different usage modes to be activated and to pay the right price at any given time based on existing and anticipated user profiles.
The Beta version of Selligent X@ was launched on April 1, 2005.
General availability is planned for June 2005.
