Selligent: very good financial results for the first half of 2008 boosted by growth in software revenue
Selligent’s positive results reflect its strong commercial and strategic development. The company generated turnover of 7,308.60 thousand euros in the first six months of 2008 and operating income of 609 thousand euros. These results have exceeded both targets and expectations.
This growth in turnover has been driven mainly by an increase of more than 16% in sales relating directly to software, in other words, licences and maintenance services. Alongside this volume growth, the company has also witnessed a significant rise in the average value of its contracts. For the first time in its history, Selligent has signed a seven-figure licence agreement.
This performance proves that Selligent’s strategy is on the right track. The company has decided to concentrate on its software activity and to join forces, for the services element, with a continuously expanding network of integrator partners with expert knowledge of its solutions. Its portfolio of major clients is also growing, with some noteworthy signatures during the first half of the year in both France and Europe, strengthening Selligent’s European position. The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, CorsairFly, the Fondation de France, PCM, Brinkmann Pumps and SteamLab are just some of the new references who have been convinced by the agility derived from Selligent solutions.
Some internal changes decided in the first half of the year have laid the foundations for more significant growth in the second six months and beyond. The appointment of Eric de Bellefroid as Chief Marketing Officer and the company’s commercial reorganisation into Business Units reflect Selligent's sector-based market approach designed to more effectively meet the needs of the different segments and strengthen cooperation with its partners. The main sectors targeted are finance, industry and services.
