Selligent chosen by AstraZeneca

Paris, 5th of January - Selligent, one of the European leaders in the field of Customer Relationship Management wins the trust of AstraZeneca, one of the global leaders in the pharmaceutical industry.

Present in seven major fields of treatment such as anaesthetics, cardiology, infectiology, gastroenterology, oncology, neurology and pneumology, AstraZeneca works with a network of medical representatives whose task is to provide healthcare professionals with ethical and qualitative information.

In 2001, AstraZeneca developed a customer relationship management tool christened Optima. This tool makes it possible to improve the relationship with doctors, pharmacists and opinion leaders. In order to personalise its relationship with the latter, AstraZeneca has brought in the Selligent Xi for Web tool.

In June 2003, AstraZeneca launched a call for tenders and, in collaboration with the users of the Optima tool and the information systems managers, picked the CRM Selligent Xi for Web solution developed by the Belgian editor.

« In just under two and a half months, the Selligent consultants drew up the setup and specifications, developed the solution and trained two persons in its use. We were impressed by the speed with which Selligent rolled out our CRM solution, which we have dubbed GOLD. » explains Kim Blangeard, Medical and Pharmaceutical IT Project Manager and adds: « Furthermore, Selligent Xi for Web lived up to our technological expectations, as the solution has been developed in .Net and can interface with our information system, including our Optima application »

After a trial period of one week by users, the Selligent Xi for Web solution was adopted without a hitch and is already fully up and running.

In the near future, AstraZeneca would like to make the information generated by Selligent's CRM tool available on its internal portal, accessible with a click of a button.
