Selligents CRM-oplossing na 4 maanden operationeel bij Zehnder Group AG (Engelse versie)
Lahr/Neu-Isenburg, April 2, 2003 – Zehnder Group AG, a leading European provider of radiators and controlled ventilation systems was able to put its new Selligent CRM system into operation just 4 months after the project began. The CRM system, which was introduced at Zehnder GmbH in Germany as a pilot scheme, will now be rolled out to the European business units of the Swiss holding company.
For Zehnder, the decision to introduce a new CRM system was of critical strategic importance. The specified goal was clear and set stringent requirements relating to power and flexibility of the future CRM system: “Our primary goal was to optimise the processes and increase efficiency of the self-management of the area managers, enabling them to give even greater attention to their customers”, explains Christian Himmelsbach who, as the Head of Sales Support, is in overall charge of the CRM project team. “At the same time, communication between the 70-odd sales staff in the office and field sales teams should be improved further.”
It should also be possible to use the new CRM solution in the diversified European markets.
Selligent Xi is the ideal solution
Himmelsbach calls “care” the “the most important rule”. This meant that the evaluation phase, during which a whole range of CRM products were analysed and assessed, lasted some two years. At the end of this phase it was clear: Selligent Xi for Windows was the ideal solution. “With Selligent we have found a solution that is largely standardised but can be implemented individually in every country. After all, every country has its own particular market features and mentalities that we want to take into account, Himmelsbach summarises. “At the same time, in bowi GmbH we found an implementation partner that is familiar not just with the Selligent system but also with our industry and is able to put our requirements into practice.
Zehnder GmbH in Germany led the way. A national project group was formed to ensure that the Selligent CRM solution could be put into operation in the brief period from June to October 2002. The close collaboration with the sector and implementation specialists at bowi GmbH (www.bowi.de), who adapted Selligent to Zehnder’s specific requirements, was crucial to the rapid success. Himmelsbach also attributes the rapid introduction to the close collaboration between bowi and Selligent.
Kick-off in June – operational in October
Following the kick-off workshop in June, the basic functions of the system were operational in October and Selligent completely superseded the old system. All the data from the old system was transferred, the interface to the Pro Alpha system worked so that the sales staff could use the Selligent CRM system in their everyday work. Further benefits of Selligent Xi became clear because, in addition to the great flexibility, the ease of use is leading to quick acceptance by the users. Two days of basic training were sufficient for the users and the internal Support Hotline were delighted to report that they were dealing with far fewer enquiries than they had expected with the implementation of a new system. “Thus far Selligent has paid off completely”, says Christian Himmelsbach happily.
Now further departments such as Marketing and Customer Services are being integrated and the functionality expanded without interrupting the ongoing operation of the CRM system. While Selligent is currently connected to the existing ERP system, an interface to a new ERP system has been created and is already operational and working successfully.
“Zehnder is a shining example of how an international organisation can achieve maximum benefit from our Selligent Xi CRM system at minimum cost”, summarises Rolf Perschbacher, Vice President and Board member of Selligent GmbH. “Once again the strengths and efficiency of our product are emphatically proven. The sector expertise and commitment of bowi and the close collaboration with the Zehnder project team proved to be critical factors of success.”
