Groupe Heppner is using Selligent's solution to support its sales policy
Paris, June 1, 2007 - Groupe Heppner, the leading independent transport and logistics services group in France and internationally, has chosen Selligent X@. It now has a solution based on a single repository for the whole company, to support its field sales force and organise tailored approaches combined with high-quality services. The implementation of Selligent is bringing in a considerable increase in customer loyalty and provided the group's sales people with a very effective support tool which has met with universal approval.
The July 2004 acquisition of XP France gave Groupe Heppner a new international dimension. This expansion prompted the redesign of its customer relationship management system, the main objective being to promote, via its sales force, a multi-business offering covering a national and international delivery service, national and international load transport, logistics and sea and airfreight forwarding. The group's rapid expansion is also supported by a new organisation that takes account of the geographical distribution of its hundred or so sites as well as its commitment to promote its catalogue of services to all international customers.
Groupe Heppner opted for Selligent partly on the basis of technological criteria: "We were looking for a fully Web-based solution using the latest technologies to enable all users, whether mobile or office-based, to access a central database. The software also had to integrate seamlessly with the other bricks of the information system because having a CRM tool that was disconnected from the rest of the applications was out of the question", explained Xavier Prud'homme, Groupe Heppner CIO.
Groupe Heppner's main objectives included the ability to obtain a full picture of each customer, complete with operational organisation and its ramifications, and to carry out statistical analyses of a given customer and the organisation it belongs to. The group intends to build on these foundations to develop targeted marketing campaigns and measure the gains in productivity, quality and customer loyalty.
Another important point: providing the appropriate tools to support the mobility of its sales force. The centralised database is accessible to all users, internally via the intranet and externally via a secure extranet. That is why a "mobility" chapter has been grafted onto the original CRM project. All sales representatives have been equipped with 3G+ cards and laptops to allow them to access the customer database wherever they are. Each person can consult the data and update it in real time.
The solution has already been rolled out to 80% of the company's sites and this roll-out will continue until the end of the year. Groupe Heppner is already drawing conclusions about this implementation: "We didn't come up against any particular problem. Selligent met its schedule and budget commitments. The roll-out process should be used as a model for all future projects: the involvement of all concerned from the outset, effective cooperation between project management and project owners, implementing a pilot project followed by a production system once the pilot was working properly", concluded Xavier Prud'homme.
