The entire Selligent CRM solution is now available in ASP mode.
Gosselies, January 31, 2005 Selligent, the Belgian company that has emerged as one of Europe's major CRM developers, is announcing the availability of its entire Web-based CRM solution in ASP (Application Service Provider) mode. Companies can now benefit from the power and flexibility of a complete CRM solution with all the ASP advantages.
The past three years have seen a complete turnaround in IS practices. Today, companies are more willing to outsource their business-critical client data. As a result, an ASP offers them a high-quality infrastructure that is immediately operational and provides a high level of service. In fact, ASP service is now synonymous with guaranteed security (back up, non-stop power supply, anti-virus, hacker protection, protection against fire and flood, a high degree of availability). In short, a level of security at least as good as, if not better than, in-house hosting. The technological barriers to integrating different applications hosted on different sites have now fallen, thanks to the advent of new standards such as XML and to the fact that all companies today are connected to the Internet. Not only that, an ASP offers total flexibility and freedom - users access the leased system when they want (night and day, seven days a week) via a PC and a high-speed Internet connection.
What's new
What's new is that Selligent is able to offer the whole wealth of functions of its CRM solution in ASP mode, in contrast to other ASP-mode solutions currently available on the market. Selligent offers the possibility to migrate gradually and limitlessly towards an ASP CRM mode of operation as the client organisation grows or as new demands emerge.
André Lejeune, Selligent CEO stresses that "this is not a CRM-lite solution for ASP mode such as can be found on the market. Over four years ago we invested in the development of a Web architecture based on XML and .Net standards. The technological advances we made had as one of their aims to deliver our solution in ASP mode. We wanted to be ready when the market was open to 'on demand' applications. And now it is!"
Selligent's appearance on the ASP stage is the result of a long process of study and numerous discussions with clients. In addition, Selligent amassed considerable experience of deploying its modular solutions in ASP mode through the project it executed for CIMUT (an information services centre that hosts applications used by around 40 mutual fund organisations and sickness insurance offices in France). That is because CIMUT has been using the Selligent CRM solution in ASP mode since 2003. "In view of the geographic spread of our users, implementing the application on each workstation was quite simply unthinkable. We came to the conclusion that deploying the Selligent CRM in ASP mode via an intranet was the ideal distribution method," explains Olivier Corbel, Research and Operations Manager at CIMUT. So far, over three quarters of the affiliated mutual funds are equipped. And the solution is evolving as user feedback comes in.
